Chief Executive Officer

Will West is chief executive officer of Control4. Since co-founding the company in March of 2003, he has led the Company's efforts to create a revolutionary new line of affordable home automation solutions.

Will has raised more than $300 million in private capital to start his last three companies. In 1998, he co-founded STSN (now iBAHN), the worldwide leader in broadband services for business travelers serving millions of customer in thousands of hotels. Prior to founding STSN, Will was CEO, and co-founder of PHAST Corporation. Under his leadership, PHAST became the leading manufacturer of high-end home automation equipment.

Will's other professional experience includes Proctor & Gamble, the FSLIC, and Wasatch Advisors. He holds a degree in Finance from the University of Utah, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the CFA designation.

Will serves as chairman of the board of the Utah Capital Investment Corporation (the State of Utah's "Fund of Funds"). He also served as chairman of the board for Utah Technology Council (UTC). Will is currently on Utah Business Magazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People in the state, and on Connect Magazine's Top 25. He was named Utah Valley Entrepreneur of the year in 2004 and in 2006 he was named the Ernst & Young Master Entrepreneur Of The Year® in the region. In 2008 he was named the Utah CEO of the Year by the Utah Technology Council.

Glen Mella
President and Chief Operating Officer

Glen Mella currently serves as president and chief operating officer of Control4, overseeing the company's internal operations. Glen brings more than 20 years of industry management experience to the company. He has held senior-level management positions within large, publicly-traded software and consumer product companies, as well as early-stage technology ventures. Prior to joining Control4, Glen served as sr. vice president of marketing and sales for Triton PCS, an award-winning wireless carrier providing service in the Southeast.

Glen also served as division president for CRS Retail Systems, a leading provider of point-of-sale (POS) and multi-channel software to the retail industry. Prior to this position, Glen was President and CEO of Found, Inc., a software solution provider for the integrated retail enterprise that was eventually acquired by CRS. Glen has also held executive and management positions at TenFold, Novell, WordPerfect, Dial Corporation, and Frito-Lay/PepsiCo.

Glen holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a bachelors degree from Brigham Young University.

Eric Smith
Chief Technology Officer

As Control4's chief technology officer and one of the company's co-founders, Eric Smith is responsible for setting the organization's technology vision and guiding the development of home automation solutions that are practical, affordable, and easy to use.

Eric brings more than 15 years of technology and home automation experience to Control4. Previously, he co-founded STSN, the worldwide leader in broadband services for business travelers. Eric developed the intellectual property that made it possible to simplify Internet protocols and offer fast, convenient broadband service to travelers staying in more than 175,000 hotel rooms in 200 cities around the world. Prior to STSN, Eric co-founded PHAST Corporation, which quickly became the leading control system in the residential control systems market.

Eric holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Brigham Young University.

Dan Strong
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Strong is the Chief Financial Officer with overall responsibility for all financial activities at Control4. Dan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in finance and management. Prior to joining Control4, Dan spent five years as the chief financial officer at iBAHN, the leader in hospitality networking. Before iBAHN he worked for 14 years at Iomega Corp as vice president of financial planning and analysis, vice president and corporate controller, and interim CFO. Dan has also held executive-level corporate finance positions at Campus Pipeline, Inc., and Pro Image Corp.

Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He has continued his education with executive courses on financial management practices from the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School.

Jim Arnold
Senior Vice President of Sales

James Arnold serves as Senior Vice President of Sales. In this role he is responsible for all worldwide sales operations. Jim's experience includes over 25 years in consumer product sales and distribution management.

Prior to joining Control4, Jim spent almost 9 years at DIRECTV where he served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution. While there, he focused on retail, distributor, lodging and commercial distribution. Before that, Jim had over 13 years experience with RCA, Thomson's Consumer Electronics Business as well as GE's Consumer and Major Appliance businesses.

Jim earned a bachelor's degree with majors in both Psychology and Sociology from the Washington University in St. Louis.

Paul Nagel
Vice President of Strategic Development

Paul Nagel is vice president of engineering at Control4, where he oversees the company's product research, engineering, and development efforts. Responsible for eight patents, Paul has a reputation for developing groundbreaking new products.

Paul brings more than 20 years of hardware and software product experience to his current position. Prior to joining Control4, he designed and managed industry-leading data communication and networking products for the IT and consumer markets and led the development of many award-winning WAN/LAN and wireless WAN products, including the Palm VII, CDPD/Cellular PC cards, and VOIP LMR products.

Paul also brings a wealth of experience in effective engineering development processes, product quality assurance (PQA), and beta test systems to Control4. Paul has also held executive roles with other leading technology companies, including Compaq Computer, Megahertz / US Robotics, 3Com, emWare, and IPMobileNet.

Paul holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah.

Paul Williams
Vice President of Support Services

Paul Williams is the vice president of support services at Control4, where he oversees the company's training and technical customer support efforts. Paul brings Control4 over 16 years of successful operation and manufacturing management experience, which spans from start-up ventures to large organizations.

Prior to Control4, Paul was vice president of operations with Phobos, which sold to publicly traded SonicWall in November 2000. Prior to Phobos, Paul was director of operations with Harman Music Group, a Harman International Company, and held management positions with Gentner Communications and Levolor/Kirsch, a Newell/Rubbermaid Company.

Paul has a track record of successful new product introductions and delivering quality products to market. He has also managed full manufacturing operations as well as outsourced operations.

Paul holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

Jim Gist
Vice President of Global Hospitality

As Control4's vice president of corporate accounts, Jim Gist is responsible for managing Control4's retail relationships, along with our business development activities and the Control4 Partners Program. He brings more than 15 years of home automation experience to Control 4's leadership team.

Prior to joining Control4, Jim was the national sales manager for AVAD, a high-end provider of custom home control and automation solutions. He also worked as the director of technology for Monstercable, the vice president of business development at PHAST Corporation, and as a high-end systems integrator at Future Home Systems and Design.

Over his career, Jim has directed many automation projects for major corporations, including advanced control systems for Disneyland and Disney World, the ultimate home theater experience for Lutron, and the design and control components for Procter & Gamble's Home of the Future. Jim has been a member of the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) since 1989.

Mark Novakovich
Vice President of Finance

As vice president of finance, Mark Novakovich brings 12 years of experience in corporate finance management and public accounting positions to Control4. Mark is responsible for the overall accounting systems and practices of the organization and ensures the precision and timeliness of financial and statistical reports for management and board use.

Before joining Control4, Mark was the CFO/Controller for Embedix, a leading company in embedded Linux tools and solutions. He also has five years of accounting and auditing experience with Coopers & Lybrand.

Mark is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

John Yoon
Vice President of Marketing

John Yoon is Control4's vice president of marketing. In this role he is responsible for worldwide marketing strategy and execution. John has 20 years of experience in marketing and management.

Prior to Control4, John served as the CEO of Paradigm Medical Industries, a manufacturer of ophthalmic equipment. He also held several leadership positions within 3Com and U.S. Robotics for its VoIP, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and remote access businesses. Before joining U.S. Robotics/3Com, John held several positions at Ericsson's mobile radio group. Prior to that, he worked for General Electric in the mobile communications division.

John earned an MBA from Duke University and bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard College.

Jefferson Dungan
Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing

Jeff Dungan is the Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing for Control4. In this role, Jeff is responsible for material acquisition, manufacturing sourcing and management, and order fulfillment as well as IT for the company. Jeff brings more than 15 years of operational, management, and technology industry experience to Control4.

Before joining Control4, Jeff held positions of Senior Director of IT Operations and G&A Business Solutions for BEA Systems where he was responsible for all aspects of IT Operations. Prior to BEA, Jeff held the position of Senior Customer Program Manager with Celestica, a top EMS provider.

Prior to Celestica, Jeff held several leadership positions within the workstation manufacturing group of Hewlett Packard Company.

Jeff began his undergraduate studies at Purdue University and completed his bachelor's degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering at Colorado State University.

Dale Slaughenhaupt
Vice President of Quality

Dale Slaughenhaupt is the Vice President of Quality for Control4. He leads the Manufacturing Quality, Incoming Quality Control, and Product Quality Assurance departments.

Previous to Control4, Dale was Deputy CIO and Vice President of IT at BEA Systems. There he oversaw the development of all applications and solutions within BEA for marketing, sales, and services IT. He was also responsible for BEA's Enterprise Architecture. Dale was instrumental in building out BEA's SOA IT infrastructure and was awarded a CIO Magazine “One's to Watch Award” for 2005.

Dale has over 13 years experience in technical program management and software development. Before joining BEA, he ran the engineering department at Celestica in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was responsible for process, test, and product engineering departments. Prior to Celestica, Dale worked for Hewlett Packard's test engineering and prototype manufacturing division.

Dale holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Brett Molen
Vice President of Engineering

Brett Molen is responsible for directing all software development as vice president of software engineering. Brett's experience includes more than 14 years in technology and software development.

Prior to joining Control4, Brett co-founded and served as chief technology officer at iBAHN, the leader in hospitality networking. At iBAHN, Brett helped take the business from start-up to a world wide enterprise connecting 18 million users annually in 24 countries. Prior to that, he worked at PHAST/AMX, ForeFront Corporation, Waterford Institute and Vertical Technologies in software and firmware development and engineering management.

Brett has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of the Pacific.

Greg Bishop
Vice President and General Counsel

As Vice President and General Counsel, Greg Bishop is responsible for all of the company's worldwide legal affairs, including M&A, intellectual property protection, licensing, litigation, employment, sales and marketing, development, general corporate, antitrust, press / investor communications, and advertising.

Greg brings more than twenty two years of experience to Control4, with eight years as a commercial litigator in Washington DC, and sixteen years of service as internal corporate counsel for companies located in New York, France and Utah. Prior to Control4, Greg was General Counsel of Murex S.A. and Campus Pipeline Inc., and was Acting General Counsel of Iomega Corporation. Greg has also worked as internal corporate counsel for Corning Inc., iBAHN Inc., LANDesk Software Inc. and The Event Source.

Greg received his Juris Doctorate and MBA from Brigham Young University in 1986.
