Control4 and eMeter Collaborate on Product Integration and Interoperability

Collaboration offers improved functionality and interoperability between eMeter’s EnergyIPTM meter data management system and the Control4® Home Energy Management platform

San Diego, CA – February 3, 2009 – Control4, a leader in affordable, IP-based control and entertainment systems and eMeter, a global leader in clean energy management technology, today announced a joint development agreement that will deliver innovative Load Management / Home Area Network (HAN) solutions for the residential utility market. A demonstration of the Control4® Home Energy Manager platform and an explanation of the planned integration between Control4 and eMeter will be available in the Control4 booth at DistribuTECH, February 3-5 in San Diego, California (booth #2338).

eMeter’s EnergyIP meter data management system (MDMS) delivers a comprehensive, enterprise-scale energy information management solution for the public utility mass market and Commercial & Industrial deployment. Its flexible, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) extends the value of legacy systems by easily interacting with existing IT infrastructures, and delivers state-of-the-art meter data acquisition, information management, and utility process services simultaneously.

Homeowners can reap energy savings and enhanced control over their energy consumption. In addition, they can have real-time access to information regarding their energy usage.

The Control4® platform is based on standard technologies such as ZigBee, Wi-Fi and Ethernet to facilitate interoperability and integration between the Control4 platform and leading consumer electronic systems in the home, including temperature control, smart lighting, security, home theater, audio and video applications.
