Yale's First Locks Designed to Integrate Seamlessly Into the Digital Home Now Available
Designed to Interface With Control4 Home Control Systems, Giving Homeowners a New Level of Security and Convenience
LENOIR CITY, TN, August 25, 2011 - Yale Locks & Hardware (www.yalelocks.com), an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, announces the availability of the company's first lock specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the digital home.
These new deadbolt locks are the first products in the Yale Real Living™ portfolio of home control and home security solutions. Available with either a sleek touchscreen or pushbutton keypad, Yale's new platform of intelligent locks are designed to operate with a Control4® system, the premier integration platform for today’s digital home. Through the Control4 system, the homeowner can directly access and control all of the lock’s unique features, including activating personalized events or scenes with the push of a button from anywhere in the home or even remotely via the Internet.
Features of the Yale Real Living locks include voice assisted programming in English, Spanish and French; personalized access-control scenes for up to 250 users; privacy mode; and access to all user programmable settings via a customized Control4 application. The homeowner can also lock and unlock the devices remotely and, with a Control4® 4Sight subscription, receive e-mails and/or texts whenever a lock is activated. Ultimately, the new intelligent locks offer an elegant, next-generation home control solution for the home’s entryways and protected interior doors to make everyday living easier and safer.
The MSRP for the locks, which are currently available, is $400 (touchscreen version) and $325 (keypad version). These ZigBee-enabled locks will be sold directly through Control4.
