You know what they say, “Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman.” So as the February 10th release date for the much anticipated “The LEGO Batman Movie” approaches, we’ve come up with some ways you can have an automated home, similar to Batman’s automated bat cave. (Check it out in this video!) You may not be able to say “Hey ‘puter, I’m home” and have your jam come on when you walk through the doors of your secret hideout like Batman does. You CAN, however, say “Alexa, turn on the man cave” as you walk into your own rendition of a superhero’s sanctuary.

But for Audio Video Design (AVD) in Massachusetts, the Control4 platform made it possible to gracefully install a state-of-the-art entertainment solution in a room that took on a whole different scene. Media Scenes The owners of this Newton, Mass., home wanted a home theater in a basement room designed to resemble an antiquated cruise cabin. This theme included the elaborate trim work on the posts and frame panels, as well as the gold-trimmed port hole on the theater door. AVD used the sleek Control4© SR-250 remote to control the lights, projector, games, and blu-ray player, configuring the system with five pre-determined media scenes.

The Challenge Since 1999, The Premier Group has been servicing homeowners in Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas with technology solutions and installation services for audio, video, lighting, electrical, and more. During those 20 years, the integration business has changed dramatically. Where audio/video solutions used to dominate Premier’s business, today categories such as networking, security, and automation are becoming much more common. Chi'nnati's Pizza Project

When a local restaurant approached Cincinnati-based Perfect Solutions AV about automating multiple systems, they were clear about wanting an easy-to-use system. Working in partnership with Don Laden, the owner of Cincinnati restaurant Chi'nnati's Pizza, Brian Bischoff of Perfect Solutions AV designed a Control4© system suited for both the public and private areas of the eatery. Good Food, Easy Entertainment Perfect Solutions AV installed three Control4 Controllers to manage the audio and video systems. Ten TVs are on a set program that works alongside the opening, closing, and shift change schedules.
