One System Makes a Splash Project
It isn't easy to integrate security and door locks, motorized shades, lighting, a home theater, climate control, and eight zones of music into one system...unless you install a Control4© system. One home automation project by Protection & Audio/Video By Design in Williamsburg, Virginia, counted on Control4 to make integration and control of a complex system very simple. Seamless Control Remarkably and despite the setbacks, this project is an excellent example of the seamless, housewide control for which Control4 is so well known. A complete 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Theater located outside by the pool; a dining room table, under-lit with specialty lighting; and timed motorized shades are all automated and controlled via the Control4 platorm.

An Automated Vacation Home Project
Control4© home automation products tend to make things easier for installers. Take Audio Video Interiors (AVI), a Medina, Ohio-based Contol4 dealer and installer. What began as a small distributed audio and security system at a lake house quickly turned into a full-fledged home automation system that integrated HVAC, security, a wireless network, audio and video, and lighting. In addition, because the home would be frequented by other family and friends, the home automation had to be extremely user-friendly. Fortunately for AVI, Control4 products brought these pieces together seamlessly. Control in Every Corner From lighting control to televisions and surround system throughout the house, Control4 integration was the key to allowing the client to easily control it all.
A "Guard" House Project
At their best, Control4© products adapt to enhance each homeowner's unique lifestyle. The house of Indiana Pacers forward-guard Danny Granger had to adjust for his frequent travel and his love of gaming. Digitech Custom Audio & Video, Inc., a Carmel, Indiana-based electronics installer, made Control4 the center of this lifestyle-enhancing system. A House that Watches Itself As a professional basketball player, Granger is frequently out of town, sometimes for entire weeks. So he needed a system that could keep an eye on things while he was away. Using Control4 technology, Digitech created "away" modes in which blinds would automatically close, lights would be put into a phantom "occupied" mode, security panels would be armed, audio and video zones would be turned off, and HVAC would be turned to a green, energy-saving setting.
